Last week was hard to choose because it was eventful! So here ya go.... St. Patty's Day Classic face! Just chillin - starting to sit up some First bites of rice cereal Easter!
Oh my gosh! I still don't think I am old enough to have kids old enough to drive, let alone grandkids! I have been able to babysit a few days this week and yesterday was the best when I was feeding Jorel his rice cereal. He would reach his head and lips up like a little bird to get to the cereal, and when he saw Markus he had the bigggest smile which caused the cereal to ooze out of both sides of his mouth! You just had to be there to enjoy the moment! I never really thought about growing older, but lately I am beginning to actually like it. Even though life is so busy with work and other things, there are so many moments I have learned to enjoy - yes, even with hot flashes! Things that are bringing me joy lately are too numerous to list, but here are some: mornings when I have time to read the paper with my hubby, the ride to work, hot tubs and sauna baths, pleasure I get from getting the Chronicles finished every month, spending time with Jorel, going with Markus to learn to drive, letters from family or friends, good music, my i-pod (thanks Jaana!!), spring time flowering trees here in Utah, my Friday phone calls with children not living at home, driving a nice car... on and on. I think getting older has helped me become more grateful - I guess you never know when your last day might come around! So I want to be kind every day. I found a wall decoration that has a saying on it: If anything is is worth doing, do it with all your heart. I hung it by the front door so I see it every day as I leave or come home. If I could change anything it would be to have all the children live closer or find a way to teleport from one place to another in a flash. Enough said. Have a wonderful week and enjoy each day! Love and Hugs. MOM
aw mom, you're cute! that was a blog in itself! love the story about jorel. i hope when he sees me, he smiles that big. also i'm totally on the same page with appreciating the little things in life. we can't always have big, wonderful adventures so the little stuff is what makes each day worth living! love you guys - jaana
How do you describe the Nugents? We like to think of ourselves as funny, intelligent, and attractive. Others might describe us as silly, crazy, or obnoxious. Either way, we are one big, happy, dork family! Bring on the good times!
